If parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, the Alliance for Romanians' Union (AUR) would obtain 38% of the vote, 20% would vote for the Social Democratic Party (PSD), 15% for the National Liberal Party (PNL), 12% for Save Romania Union (USR), 5% for the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR), 4% for the Party of Young People (POT), 4% for S.O.S. Romania, and 2% would vote for 'other,' according to the most recent national poll conducted by the Centre for Urban and Regional Sociology - CURS.According to the poll, 69% of respondents believe that Romania is heading in the wrong direction, while only 26% say the country is heading in the right direction, and 5% either do not know or did not answer the question.The same data shows that 35% of those surveyed believe the Government led by Ilie Bolojan has implemented a series of unjustified and unnecessary economic measures, 28% believe that some of these measures were necessary while others were not, and 26% think the measures were justified and necessary. Additionally, 3% said the measures should have been "different," while 8% did not know or did not respond.When asked, "What is the impact of the measures announced by the Government on you and your family?," 41% of respondents said "Very high," 37% said "High," 14% considered the impact to be low, 3% said "Very low or none," and 5% did not know or did not answer.The survey sample represents the adult resident population of Romania. The sample size was 1,067 respondents aged 18 and over.Sampling method: probabilistic, multistage, stratified. The maximum margin of error at the national level is +/-3%, with a confidence level of 95%. Data collection method: CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing).The sample was validated based on the latest data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS). The data are weighted according to the age structure of the electorate. The fieldwork was carried out between 4 and 10 July 2025.
