Dacia car sales in Europe rise 33.5pct in October

Sales of Dacia passenger cars in Europe rose 33.5% in October and the carmaker's market share climbed to 4.4% from 3.8% in the same period in 2022, according to data the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) released on Tuesday.The statistics are valid for European Union countries, the UK and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.A total of 46,222 Dacia cars were registered in October in Europe, compared to 34,625 in the same period in 2022.Almost all major car manufacturers reported sales growth in October: the Renault group (24.4%), the Stellantis group (10.8%), the Volkswagen group (10.4%), Mercedes-Benz (11.8%), while Ford reported a decline of 12.2%.In the first ten months of this year, Dacia car deliveries increased 21.2% in Europe. Dacia car registrations in Europe amounted to 464,902 units, up from January-October 2022 (383,631 vehicles).Also, all major car manufacturers reported sales growth in the first ten months of this year: the Volkswagen group (21.7%), the Renault group (21%), Mercedes-Benz (9.3%), the Stellantis group (6%) and Ford (3.4%).
