Defense Minister, Israeli ambassador discuss bilateral military cooperation

Defense Minister Vasile Dincu had a meeting on Wednesday with Israeli ambassador David Saranga with whom he discussed the highlights of bilateral military cooperation and ways to step up military ties, as well as topical subjects on the current security agenda of the Middle East and Black Sea region, the Defense Ministry informs.Minister Dincu expressed his appreciation for the two states' constant defense cooperation, including the modernization of the Romanian Army, and stressed the importance of Romanian and Israeli troops continuing to participate in bilateral and multinational exercises with a view to increasing interoperability between the two armies.Evoking the additional security challenges posed by the current pandemic, the Defense Minister emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation on cyber defense and military medicine, the release said.The two officials stressed the importance of maintaining a constant bilateral dialogue allowing the further implementation of joint defense projects.
