DefMin Tilvar and Jordanian Armed Forces' head discuss situation in Middle East

 The Minister of National Defense, Angel Tilvar, had a meeting with the president of the Joint Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaity, at the headquarters of the Romanian Ministry of Defense (MapN) on Monday.According to a MApN press release, the discussions focused on the status and perspectives of bilateral cooperation relations in the field of defense in the context of developments in the global security environment, with emphasis on the current situation in the regions of the Black Sea and the Middle East.The Romanian minister of defense emphasized the important role of cooperation in the field of defense between the two states, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan being one of the most important partners of Romania in the Middle East region, the cited source informs.In this context, the Romanian dignitary reiterated Romania's commitment regarding the continuation of jointly developed projects, both bilaterally and within the initiatives and programs dedicated to cooperation between NATO and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.Finally, the two officials shared the need to continue bilateral cooperation in the field of defense within the formats established for this purpose and to explore new fields of cooperation, for the benefit of the training of the armed forces of the two countries.
