Deputy PM Ana Birchall welcomes Turkish Ambassador on his farewell visit: He proved to be a true friend of Romania

Deputy PM Ana Birchall on Tuesday welcomed Ambassador of the Turkish Republic to Romania Osman Koray Ertas, on a farewell visit, who completed his mandate in our country, reads a press release of the Government. “I want to thank Mr. Ambassador Osman Koray Ertas both for the excellent relation he promoted and developed between Romania and Turkey during his mandate and for the successful institutional cooperation we had, proved including through the excellent organisation of PM Viorica Dancila’s visit to Ankara in October this year. Through his entire activity in our country, His Excellency proved that he is a true friend of Romania. This visit reconfirmed our strong relations, based on a Strategic Partnership that will continue to develop,” stated Ana Birchall. She underscored that Romania and Turkey are strategic partners and the development and strengthening of the relations between the two countries, especially on the economic dimension, represents a priority for both states. “Which is why I want to congratulate Mr Ambassador for representing his country with professionalism and of course I want to assure him that the Dancila Government appreciates his work in developing and strengthening an already strong and solid bilateral relation between Romania and Turkey, in the true spirit of our Strategic Partnership,” the Romanian Deputy PM stated. In his turn, the Turkish diplomat thanked the Deputy PM for the excellent institutional and personal collaboration they had, while emphasizing on the special relation existing between Romania and Turkey, reads the same release.
