The opportunities to promote Romania as an investment destination in the US in the coming period were also discussed."I would like to thank you for what you are doing in Romania, for the investments, for the jobs that have been created, because they are not just simple investments, they are things that mean confidence in Romania, they mean development, they mean taxes to the state budget, and they mean economic cooperation," Ilie Bolojan conveyed at the meeting. He also thanked the U.S. Embassy in Romania for the good cooperation he has had both at the local level and from his position as President of the Senate and interim president. In his turn, Cristian Sporis, president of AmCham Romania, thanked the interim president for the message delivered at the Annual General Meeting of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham), which took place on March 27."This message was well received by our community, (...) it helped us understand that there is continuity, there is stability, there is a desire, despite all the things that are happening around us, to have an open dialogue between the members of the AmCham community, the business environment and the decision makers," said Cristian Sporis. The meeting took place in the context of President Ilie Bolojan conferring the "Industrial and Commercial Merit" Order, in the rank of Officer, to the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania), as a token of "appreciation for the more than 30 years of presence on the Romanian market, for the significant contribution to the consolidation and diversification of the economic ties between our country and the United States of America, to attracting investment, and to the creation of jobs, establishing itself as a reliable partner of the Romanian business community", according to the Presidential Administration."This is a sign of respect for what you are doing, for the investments you have made in Romania, for all the partners and for those who work in the companies," said interim president Ilie Bolojan.
