DIGI Starts Commercial Operations in Belgium

January 16, 2025

Starting from December 11, 2024, DIGI expands its commercial operations in Europe and launches fiber-optic broadband internet, as well as mobile voice and data services in Belgium. With a strategy focused on user needs and a strong commitment to provide high-performance, affordable, and stable solutions, the company aims to redefine how Belgian consumers will access technology and entertainment. Without hidden fees, complicated promotions, or periodic price increases, customers have the flexibility to choose individual subscriptions or customize a package to their preferences.   DIGI, the newest player in Belgium’s telecom industry, is committed to deliver added value through reliable and competitive solutions and announces a simple offer specifically designed to meet the needs and consumption habits of subscribers. Users will enjoy ultra-fast internet with transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps, mobile options with substantial data volumes, and, in the future, a diverse range of TV programs, all with the assurance of the best price-quality ratio.   “We are committed to make telecommunications accessible to all Belgian consumers. Today, we take the first step in this direction, aiming to provide top services backed by a transparent and fair pricing policy. We build, test, and optimize everything internally, allowing us to control costs effectively, so that the resulting savings directly benefit our customers. We rely on the extensive experience of our teams, responsible for developing networks in Romania, Spain, Italy, and Portugal, which successfully serve over 26 million revenue-generating units across Europe. We are ready to deliver what we promise: cutting-edge technology and exceptional technical support for future DIGI customers”, said Jeroen Degadt, General Director of DIGI Belgium.   DIGI Fiber is already operational in Cureghem (Brussels), with plans to gradually expand to other districts in the capital and several other Belgian locations.   “Today, we are excited to launch DIGI’s commercial operations in Belgium, the fifth country in which the DIGI Group operates. By leveraging resources and the expertise of our colleagues internationally, we continue to build an advanced fiber and mobile network, through strategic collaborations and long-term investments in this market. The development of DIGI’s own infrastructure is essential to gradually offering quality services at fair prices for all local consumers”, pointed Valentin Popoviciu, Executive Director of DIGI Communications.   “As one of the key supporters behind DIGI in Belgium, we are extremely proud of this ambitious project. We are convinced that DIGI will change the local telecommunications landscape on the B2C segment, just as Citymesh has already done in the B2B sector. Expanding the network in major cities is a priority for us, so that as many consumers as possible can benefit from the affordable prices and quality services we offer. Together with DIGI, we have formed a strong and complementary partnership, aiming to deliver unparalleled connectivity solutions for both business and residential subscribers”, added Mitch De Geest, General Director of Citymesh.
