The Satu Mare 2 photovoltaic park, with an installed capacity of 27.056 MW, has been commissioned following an investment of over 20 million euros, Electrica Group reported in a press release sent on Wednesday."The completion of the Satu Mare 2 photovoltaic park represents more than an investment; it is tangible proof of our commitment to Romania's sustainable future. This project demonstrates that we can turn funding opportunities into investments with a direct impact on communities and the environment. We will continue to develop similar projects that allow us to expand renewable energy production capacity, reduce our carbon footprint, and strengthen Romania's position in the energy transition," said Alexandru Chirita, CEO of Electrica, in the release.Located near the commune of Botiz in Satu Mare County, the park has an installed capacity of 27.056 MW and represents an investment of over 20 million euros.The project includes the 27.056 MW photovoltaic power plant, a 110/20 kV user transformer station, and the connection works to the distribution network, partially financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR)."This project will contribute to increasing the share of renewable energy in Electrica Group's energy mix, reducing carbon emissions, and providing clean and affordable energy for local communities and the national economy.
