Endava opens a new office in Bucharest

November 11, 2021

Endava, the British software company with over 3000 employees in Romania, of which over 1000 in Bucharest, has opened its new offices in the U-Center complex located on Calea Serban Voda, near Parcul Tineretului in the capital. The official opening was held in the presence of the company’s CEO, who announced revenues of £446.6 million in the 2021 fiscal year, up 30.4% compared to the previous year.   The offices in Bucharest have been specially designed to facilitate the hybrid working system and represent a pilot project of the British company. Therefore, after testing this model in Romania, the company aims to expand it to all the cities where it is present.   “The new office in Bucharest is a pilot project and a source of inspiration regarding how we want to rethink and adapt all our offices for the hybrid work model. We believe that the future of workplace is an ecosystem of a variety of locations and new experiences to support convenience, functionality, and wellbeing”, said Roxana Circu, Delivery Unit Manager, Endava Bucharest.   In this new location, office spaces are allocated to multiple teams to share and activity-based working. Each team decides how many days they will work from the office and how many from home, depending on the projects in which they are involved and the specific needs – such as Agile Ceremonies, inductions, learning and professional development programs, or times when direct collaboration is necessary. Each office will be able to be booked individually.   Endava permanently switched to a hybrid work model in September 2020, as both local studies and international trends have shown that this flexible way of working is preferred by employees.   “We believe that every team needs independence so that they can define for themselves how they work. Our teams will determine when face-to-face meetings are needed or when each colleague can work from home. We designed this new headquarters to meet all the needs of our colleagues, and we adapted the spaces so that they can be optimally used both for teamwork and for individual work”, said Claudiu Constantinescu, Regional Manager, Central Europe, Endava.   REVENUE OF £446.3 MILLION IN 2021 AND AN ANNUAL GROWTH OF 30.4% Present in Bucharest for the opening of the new headquarters, Endava CEO John Cotterell announced solid global financial results for the fourth quarter (Q4) and for the entire fiscal year 2021*. Endava’s performance was driven by both the expansion of work for our existing clients and the acquisition of new ones during the quarter, with the company ending Q4 with 615 active customers, an increase of 47.8% compared to Q4 2020.   At the end of the fourth quarter, Endava recorded revenues of £133.6 million, an increase of 54.9% from the same period of the previous year. The company ended the 2021 financial year with a revenue of 446.3 million pounds, up 30.4% from the previous year, which also resulted in an increase in the PBT (profit before tax) margin to 20.6%, compared to 19.5% in 2020.   “At Endava, we continue to prioritise the safety and well-being of our people, with differing measures across the world as this pandemic affects the countries and communities in which they live and work. However, despite this difficult environment, we continue to experience very strong demand for our digital services in all our regions and verticals, and the pace of increase in demand is only accelerating” said John Cotterell, CEO of Endava.   The British software company remains a preferred employer in all key locations where it is present and has seen a 34.1% increase in the number of employees in the fiscal year 2021, with its team reaching 8883 members worldwide. In the next period, Endava will continue to engage and invest in the development and rethinking of workspaces, the new office in Bucharest representing the start of such project globally.
