Energy Minister estimates that the number of prosumers in Romania will exceed 350,000 by 2030

November 23, 2023

The number of prosumers in Romania will reach 236,000 until the end of 2025 and will surpass 350,000 until 2030, stated within the Climate Change a Summit 2023, the minister of energy, Sebastian Burduja.According to the minister, the future calls for financing through the Modernisation Fund as well as through the Programme ‘The Green House’ rely on the idea of energy storage for short, medium and long term.‘In several years, as these investments will be made, it is sure that the capacity of the system to include a higher number of prosumers will grow. These two processes, the increase in the number of prosumers, and investments in the system of transport and distribution, must go hand in hand. We have to think about storage for a short, medium and long term. We choose this variant for the future editions of the programme ‘The Green House’, the official said. The first and the most ample regional event on the issue of climatic changes, Climate Change Summit took place recently in Bucharest and was organised by Social Innovation Solutions.
