Euro reached a new historic maximum against the leu on Friday : 4.9338 lei/euro

The national currency reached a new historic maximum on Friday against the leu, as the rate calculated by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) was 4.9338 lei/euro, up by 0.60 bani (0.12%) against the previous rate, of 4.9278 lei.The previous record was presented on 14th July when the euro was 4.9283 lei.The dollar appreciated, in its turn, up to 4.2258 lei, up by 1.15 bani (0.27%) as compared to the previous rate, of 4.2143 lei/dollar.The rate leu/Franc went up by 0.37% (0.08%) up to 4.6037 lei/Franc, as compared to that of Wednesday, when the Swiss Franc was 4.6017 lei.The gram of gold got cheaper, on Friday, with 32.43 bani (-0.13%) at 242.0234 lei, from 242.3477 lei, as it was announced in the previous meeting.
