European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic will be in Romania on Wednesday and Thursday to visit the Civil Protection Center (HUB) and the Siret border checkpoint, informs the European Commission Representation in Bucharest.On Thursday, the commissioner will meet with Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca and Interior Minister Lucian Bode, as well as with the head of the Emergency Situations Department, Raed Arafat.In Bucharest, the senior European official will also meet with local authorities, NGOs and volunteers working together to receive refugees. He will also visit the National Center for Coordination and Management of Intervention - CNCCI Ciolpani, where press statements will be made.
