Exhibition "The Royal Paths of Transylvania", to open in London, in honour of His Majesty King Charles III

December 8, 2025

The Bucharest Student Culture House and the Repatriot Community, in partnership with the Embassy of Romania in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, will host on Friday at 18:30, at 1 Belgrave Square, London, the opening of the exhibition and book presentation "The Royal Paths of Transylvania", in honour of His Majesty King Charles III.According to a press release from the Bucharest Student Culture House sent on Wednesday, the exhibition features works from the volume "The Royal Paths of Transylvania", created under the high patronage of the Presidency of Romania, as a mark of deep appreciation for His Majesty's affection and commitment to Romania.Romania holds a very special place in my heart. I count Vlad Tepes among my ancestors, which might explain why, with every visit, a part of me feels at home. I will continue, as long as I am able, to advocate for the importance of protecting and celebrating Romania's unique treasures - its villages, historic buildings, culinary traditions, precious biodiversity, wildlife, and majestic forests. (...) I am deeply proud to have a great-great-great-grandmother from Transylvania, herself a descendant of Vlad Tepes, and that my great-great-aunt was the much-loved Queen Marie of Romania, King Charles III was quoted as saying in the release. The volume includes a collection of remarkable stories and messages from President of Romania Nicusor Dan, Academician Ioan Aurel Pop - President of the Romanian Academy, Romania's Ambassador to London Laura Popescu, Professor Corneliu Iatu - President of the Romanian Geographical Society, Professor Marian Preda - Rector of the University of Bucharest, and Marius Bostan - founder of the Repatriot Community, as well as reflections from His Majesty King Charles III about Romania, gathered over time from his first visit to the country to the present day.The Romania Student Tour project is carried out by the Bucharest Student Culture House under the auspices of the Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity.
