EximBank grants financial package of 21 million lei to Urbioled Iasi

EximBank announced it concluded a financial accord of 21 million lei with Urbioled Iasi, a company producing, distributing and installing LED type sources and the financial package structured by the bank is meant to finance and current activity of the company.   Urbioled is a company with 100% Romanian private capital. Set up in 2013, the company began its activity as distributor of street lighting installations and later on became a producer and integrator of LED type lighting systems and supplier of intelligent and energy efficient mounting services in the field of street lighting with LED technology.   At the same time, Urbio Romania is an important player in the renewable energy market, especially photovoltaic energy systems.   Studies show that a complete transition to LED lighting leads to the drop of electricity consumption and implicitly of gas emissions with greenhouse effects by 40%, the reduction of the number of traffic accidents during the night, especially those in which pedestrians are involved, discouraging night crimes and the development of a feeling of safety and civilization among citizens.   Urbioled manufactures, distributes and implements Eco efficient alternate lighting solution. The company was set up in 2013 dealing mainly with trade with electronic parts and equipment based on LED technology, imported from Europe and beyond. In 2016 the company became a producer of lighting equipment and entered the mounting service segment. In 2019 Urbioled built a new production unit in Moreni, Dambovita.   The factory was commissioned in December 2020 with an annual production capacity of over 100,000 lighting units. As of 2019, the company started another project with European funds in the field of research for the development of NEOS system, a state-of-the art product that includes solutions for parking, public lighting with automatic intensity, multifunctional pillar with video supervision, electric vehicle charging, sensors that monitor temperature, noise, air pressure and wind intensity, with an investment of at least 5 million euros.
