Exports increased in the first five months by 23.5%

- In May 2022, the FOB exports amounted to 7997.4 million euro and the CIF imports amounted to 10720.1 million euro, a commercial deficit of 2722.7 million euro being registered. - Compared to May 2021, the exports increased by 34.5% and the imports increased by 38.8% in May 2022. - In the period 1.I-31.V 2022, the FOB exports amounted to 36918.9 million euro and the CIF imports amounted to 49659.7 million euro. - In the period 1.I-31.V 2022, the exports increased by 23.5% and the imports increased by 28.1%, compared to the period 1.I-31.V 2021. - In the period 1.I-31.V 2022, the FOB-CIF trade deficit was of 12740.8 million euro, 3891.3 million euro more than in the period 1.I-31.V 2021.   In the period 1.I-31.V 2022, important shares in the structure of exports and imports are represented by the following groups of goods: machinery and transport equipment (42.7% for export and 32.5% for import) and other manufactured goods1) (31.1% for export and 29.6% for import).   In the period 1.I-31.V 2022, the Intra-EU27 trade in goods amounted to 27030.3 million euro for dispatches and to 35308.4 million euro for arrivals, representing 73.2% of total exports and 71.1% of total imports. In the period 1.I-31.V 2022, the Extra-EU27 trade in goods amounted to 9888.6 million euro for exports and to 14351.3 million euro for imports, representing 26.8% of total exports and 28.9% of total imports.
