March 13, 2024

The gross domestic product per capita will reach, for the first time, 20,000 euros this year and the investment expenses are 120 billion RON, respectively 7% of the GDP, the Minister of Finance, Marcel Bolos says."This year, in which we are recording a first, namely that the GDP per capita will reach 20,000 euros, the expenditure for investments is approximately 120 billion RON, over 7% of the GDP. At this moment, one of the main objectives is to strike a balance at the macroeconomic level and focus on the co-financing of European projects. For 2024, we forecast to attract more than 10 billion euros, but also to achieve a correlation of the investment programs for the development of local communities with the financing programs from European money", the minister of finance wrote on Facebook.According to the minister of finance, an important component on which the national budget is focused is the improvement of living conditions through the Anghel Saligny program, where the budget increases from 1.9 billion RON in 2023 to 4.6 billion RON in 2024, for 2,250 km modernization of roads, 150,000 individual connections to water and sewage and 8,397 individual connections to the natural gas network.
