The Economic and Financial Committee (EFC) gave its OK for Romania's Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) second payment request, this being the last step required for the disbursement of the 2.7 billion euros, Finance Minister Marcel Bolos announced on Friday evening."The Economic and Financial Committee gave a positive opinion for Recovery and Resilience Facility payment request No. 2. This was the last necessary step for the European Commission to adopt the decision regarding the disbursement of the 2.7 billion euros. Consequently, we expect the money to arrive by the end of this month. I remind you that the submission of this request was conditioned by the settlement of certain key aspects for Romania such as decarbonization, the interoperability of databases for cutting red-tape, and implementing the government cloud," Marcel Bolos wrote on Facebook.According to him, Romania is among the first seven EU countries that submitted the second payment request, although it has the most complex plan, with over 500 targets and milestones to fulfill.
