Foreign direct investment falls 26% to 463 million euros in January 2022

 Foreign direct investment (FDI) fell by 26.27% in the first month of this year, to 463 million euros, compared to 628 million euros in January 2021, according to data from the National Bank of Romania (BNR) sent on Wednesday.The direct investment of non-residents in Romania amounted to 463 million euros (compared to 628 million euros in January 2021), of which the equity investment (including the estimated net reinvested profit) amounted to a net value of 577 million euros, and intragroup loans recorded the net negative value of 114 million euros, the BNR release informs.
