ForMin Odobescu meet counterparts from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan in Luxembourg

  Romania's Foreign Minister Luminita Odobescu on Monday had bilateral meetings with her counterparts from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as part of her participation in the EU-Central Asia ministerial meeting in Luxembourg.The Romanian official and her Turkmen counterpart Rashid Meredov welcomed co-operation in the areas of energy, transport, and education, expressing interest in the inventory of practical ways to deepen the thematic dialogue moving ahead, according to the Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE).At the end of the meeting, the two officials signed an action plan for the foreign ministries of the two countries for 2024-2025.At her meeting with his counterpart from Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, Odobescu mentioned the importance of developing connectivity between Europe and Central Asia in order to increase the flow of goods and services on the Black Sea-Caspian Sea route.According to MAE, Odobescu and her counterpart from Uzbekistan Bahtiyor Saidov discussed the importance of developing bilateral dialogue through new ways of deepening sectoral dialogue, capitalising on mutual interest in connectivity projects in the region.
