August 17, 2025

Foreign Affairs Minister Oana Toiu met on Tuesday with representatives of the Concordia Employers' Confederation in order to discuss Romania's priorities in the economic diplomacy area and launched a call on all Romanian companies that wish to become involved in Ukraine's reconstruction process."The Minister underscored that dialogue with the business community, especially at this time, is not only useful but absolutely necessary. She appreciated the active involvement of Concordia both domestically and internationally, including through participating in platforms such as Business at OECD (BIAC), where Romanian entrepreneurs' interests are promoted. Oana Toiu invited the private sector to come up with concrete proposals to support Romanian companies through instruments of economic diplomacy: missions and bilateral contacts, thematic events, analysis and specialized materials. She welcomed the proposals of Concordia's representatives, especially in terms of reforming the economic diplomacy instruments available to the Romanian state, particularly regarding the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (ARICE)," a Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) release sent on Wednesday informed.Oana Toiu also mentioned the latest meetings with Ukraine's high officials, during the bilateral visit she paid between August 7 and 9, calling on all Romanian companies to get involved in the reconstruction process of the neighboring country.
