France reasserts support for Romania following incursion of Russian drone

The French Foreign Ministry expressed its support for Romania when a Russian drone violated the Romanian air space, according to a press release published by the institution on the Internet: https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/dossiers-pays/roumanie/evenements/article/roumanie-violation-de-l-espace-aerien-par-un-drone-russe-16-09-25.   “The incursion of a Russian drone in the Romanian air space on Saturday, September 13, is a new proof of Russia's irresponsible and unacceptable attitude in its aggressive war against Ukraine. This incident is not an isolate ne since the beginning of the Ukraine war and comes after theincursion in the Polish air space on September 10”, the document shows.   “France reasserts its support for Romania and expresses its solidaity with it,”the text continues, mentioning “the active contribution”of the French to Romania's security by participating as “frame nation”in the multinational NATO battalion based in Romania.   “In front of Russia's unacceptable attitude, the Allies continue to strenghten antiaircraft defense. A new enhanced Vigilance activity Eastern Sentry, was launched on Friday, September 12. France participates in it and announced that three Rafale airplanes will participate in this efforts of enhancing the eastern sentry of the Alliance,”the ministry mentions.
