Free classical music events in George Enescu Festival Square from September 17 to 21

Over ten free classical music events will take place in George Enescu Festival Square from September 17 to 21, ARCUB announced.This marks the sixth edition of the "Festival Square," organized by the City Hall of Bucharest in partnership with ARTEXIM."Since 2006, this ARCUB project has brought the atmosphere of one of the most prestigious international events ? the George Enescu International Festival ? into the open air. Free concerts by renowned ensembles and soloists transform the city center into a space for engaging with cultural excellence, open to both Bucharest residents and visitors," the source said.Performers on the "George Enescu Festival Square" stage will include established artists such as Matei Ioachimescu, Alexandru Tomescu, Damian Draghici, Horia Mihail, and guitarist Sorin Romanescu. Young musicians ? scholars of the Royal Margareta Foundation of Romania ? will also be featured."Friday and Saturday evenings will showcase two of Romania's most prestigious ensembles: Camerata Regala (conductor Constantin Grigore) and the George Enescu Philharmonic (conductor Tiberiu Soare, soloists Veronica Anusca and George Virban). The festival will conclude on Sunday with the Opereta Stars show and a lively concert by the Radio Romania Big Band, conducted by Simona Strungaru," informs the source.Throughout the event, visitors can explore the exhibition "Interests and Passions of the Royal Family Members Over Time" in George Enescu Square, featuring over 60 works by young visual artists ? scholars of the Royal Margareta Foundation's "Young Talents" program.Concerts will take place daily from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with the full program available at www.arcub.ro.
