Gaudeamus Radio Romania Book Fair 2023, 30th edition, opens its doors on Wednesday

   The Gaudeamus Radio Romania Book Fair, now at its 30th edition, opens its doors on Wednesday in the Central Pavilion of the Romexpo Exhibition Complex in the north of Bucharest, with Ana Blandiana, Andrei Plesu, Ioana Parvulescu, Horia-Roman Patapievici, Armand Gosu, Radu Paraschivescu, but also NATO deputy secretary general Mircea Geoana among the authors coming with new titles this year.The honorary president of Gaudeamus 30 is the reputed writer, literary critic, professor, publicist Ion Bogdan Lefter, one of of the fair's most enthusiastic and constant friends. This edition of the fair will host both names established for decades in the Romanian publishing landscape, publishers who have already earned a well-deserved notoriety, as well as new projects, at the beginning of their journey.Nearly 200 participants will offer the public, during more than 500 publishing events, which will take place both in the five spaces set up on the premises and in the participants' stands, a wide range of publishing products, on different media, suitable for all ages and areas of interest, music and educational games.The publishing houses Humanitas, Polirom, Corint, Curtea Veche Publishing, Litera, Trei Publishing Group, Lifestyle Publishing, Editura Casa Radio will be present at this edition too.Last but not least, Gaudeamus 30 will host a series of related projects branded Gaudeamus and Radio Romania: the Gaudeamus Trophies, "Straight-A Guests: Romania's Olympiad winners", "Pick up a Secret Story", "9 writers of the new generation" and the Miss Reading Contest, resumed at this edition.As in previous editions, the fair will have a space dedicated to interactive activities for the youngest visitors, the "Creative Workshop".A cultural project funded by the Ministry of Culture, the Gaudeamus Book Fair is a Radio Romania event.
