Gov't pledges responsibility for package of fiscal measures

 The government on Monday pledged responsibility, at a joint plenary session of Parliament, on a package of fiscal measures to narrow the government deficit.Given that Parliament went on a recess at the end of June, in order to carry out the procedure related to the government's responsibility on bills on fiscal and budgetary measures, the senators and MPs were summoned to an extraordinary session.According to the government, the bill it passed by pledging responsibility regulates fiscal and budgetary measures for the stabilisation of public finances, by limiting permanent expenditures, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, by increasing revenues, so that the financing of all categories of public services intended for citizens can be supported from public funds.
