The investments have reached 15.2 billion lei, 25.7 percent higher than in the same period last year. During this period, 9.4 billion lei from European funds have entered the economy and I am referring to payments made, a 20 percent increase over the same period last year,” Dancila said at the beginning of the Government sitting. The prime minister maintained that the budget execution reflects “the steady rise in Education and Health wages granted as of 1 March and the increase in pensions, commitments assumed in the Governing Program.” “We are responsible for the public finances. We fit into the budget deficit target of up to 3 percent of the Gross Domestic Product,” Prime Minister Viorica Dancila stated.   Government approves draft law on archives, to allocate 1 mln euro for National Archives seat   The Government will approve on Wednesday the draft law on archives and will allocate one million euro as co-financing share in a European money-funded project aimed at architectural and consolidation works on the seat of the National Archives, Premier Viorica Dancila said. “We have the draft law on archives on the agenda. It is an extremely important project for us, which we have assumed in the governing program. We will ensure better management of the archive fund, we will delineate more clearly the responsibilities of the public sector and the private sector and we will facilitate public access to archive documents. Moreover, we will also strengthen the status of the National Archives of Romania as a unique authority in the field and archives in general, as an essential identity element and an instrument of good governance. I am glad that we can pass this draft in the year of the Greater Union Centennial, and right on the day we celebrate the National Archives Day,” Dancila said on Wednesday in the opening of the Government sitting. The Prime Minister has stated that for the functioning of the National Archives, one million euro will be allocated to co-finance the project titled ?Restoration of the Seat – Historical Monument of the National Archives.’ “The total value of the project is 5 million euro, and 80pct of this amount represents European money. The project provides for architectural refurbishment works and consolidation of the Archives’ seat, one of the most representative buildings of the Capital,” said Viorica Dancila.
