Greek Ambassador to Romania supports expansion of investments in Bihor County

 Greece is interested in expanding its investments in Bihor County in areas such as infrastructure, construction and energy, Greek Ambassador to Romania Lili Evangelia Grammatika said on Friday during a meeting at the headquarters of the Bihor Prefecture.According to a press reease issued by the Prefecture, the Greek ambassador, accompanied by Nikolaos Vlahakis, Minister for Public Diplomacy, met with Bihor Prefect Marcel Dragos to discuss opportunities for economic development and ways of strengthening relations between the two countries."Ambassador Lili Evangelia Grammatika presented the major Greek investments in Romania in sectors such as infrastructure, construction and energy, expressing openness to expanding them into Bihor County as well," the press release said.She also stressed that countries in the region face common security and migration challenges, making close cooperation between partners essential.The talks also focused on the exchange of best practices between Romania and Greece in areas including digitalisation, public-private partnerships and tax legislation, as well as support for Romania's accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).During the meeting, the prefect outlined Bihor County's main strengths, including its natural resources, multicultural character, strategic location on the Hungarian border and major infrastructure projects currently under way. He highlighted investments in road and rail infrastructure, the development of Oradea Airport, and the role of European funding in the county's transformation.At the end of the visit, the Greek ambassador was invited to sign the institution's Book of Honour.
