General Gheorghita Vlad, the head of Defense Major Staff, met his Luxembourg counterpart, general Steve Thull on Tuesday, at the South-Eastern Command of the Multinational Corps in Sibiu and at “Getica” National Instruction Center at Cincu, Brasov, the Defense Ministry informs. The two officials talked about the integration of Luxembourg militaries in NATO Battle Group, deployed at Cincu instruction facilities two years ago, for the consolidation of defense. General Vlad considered that the excellent level of cooperation relations between Romanian militaries and those who make up the allied structure is due to the remarkable professional behaviour of Luxembourg militaries. At the same time, the officials' talks had in view the evaluation of security in the extended Black Sea area, the evolution of defensive Euro-Atlantic architecture as well as the diversification of the training program and joint exercises in Romania. Meetings took place during the visit in Romania of a delegation of the Great Duchy of Luxembourg headed by deputy prime minister Xavier Bettel and attended by Romania's abassador to Luxembourg, Alexandrina Livia Rusu.
