Industrial production prices down 0.3pct YoY

Total industrial production prices (domestic and foreign markets) decreased by 0.3% in June 2025, compared to the same month in 2024, but increased by 0.1 compared to May 2025, according to data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) on Monday.At the domestic market level, the industrial production price index saw an increase of 0.02% in June 2025 compared to the previous month and a decrease of 1.47%, compared to June 2024.Regarding the foreign market, industrial production prices were higher by 0.32% in June compared to the previous month, and also higher by 2.74% compared to the same month of the previous year.By major industrial groups, in June 2025, compared to June 2024, increases in industrial production prices were recorded in: capital goods industry (+2.27%), consumer goods industry (5.74%), durable goods industry (+3.02%) and intermediate goods industry (+2.87%). In the energy industry, a decrease of 7.65% is noted.Compared to the reference period, INS data reveal that, by activity sections, prices increased in water distribution, sanitation, waste management, decontamination activities (+9.29%) and in the manufacturing industry (2.15%). In the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning, a decrease of 7.37% is noted, and in the extractive industry a decrease of 0.28% was reported.
