Infrastructure: AnimaWings trebles number of domestic flights

AnimaWings has reached 90 weekly flights between Bucharest and Cluj, Timisoara, Iasi, Oradea, Suceava. The new timetable of AnimaWings domestic flights means a capacity of about 13,000 passengers per week, flights operated in full-service system with new Airbus A220 airplanes of 137 seats.   “This major expansion shows our engagement to build a solid, domestic air network with premium services. Romanians can now travel at Economy or Business classes by new Airbus A220 planes, with onboard catering, 8kg cabin luggage and the selection of cabin seats included in the basic price. Romania needs higher connectivity among the main urban and economic locations and this is what our projects intends to do, to strengthen and make air travel more efficient “, said Marius Pandel, AnimaWings President.   The increase of AnimaWings flight frequencies as of October 1 will take place on Bucharest-Cluj-Bucharest routes (28 weekly flights against 16) and Bucharest-Iasi return flights (22 weekly flights against previous 12). At the same time, the company launches two new flights, Bucharest-Timisoara (22 weekly flights to and from) and Bucharest- Suceava (8 weekly round trips) and resumes Bucharest - Oradea round trip with a total of ten weekly flights between the two cities.   The table of AnimaWings air flights between Bucharest and the main airports in the country with a total of 13,000 seats bring an increase by over a third of the domestic air transport capacity in Romania. Following an AnimaWings analysis, as of October 1, 2025, over 40,000 passengers will be able to travel between Bucharest and airports in Romania by 350 flights to and from the Capital.   The busiest domestic air connection will be Bucharest-Cluj-Bucharest with 100 weekly flights, followed by Bucharest-Timisoara round trip with 88 flights. Bucharest-Iasi will record 74 weekly flights, Bucharest-Oradea 48 flights and Bucharest-Suceava 26 flights.   AnimaWings is a Romanian air company inaugurated in 2020, a part of Memento Group, next to touroperator Christian Tour, with a professional team offering comfortable travels, regular or charter flights, implementing safety systems, procedures and protocls at exceptional standards. In a continuous expansion,   AnimaWings bought in September 2025 a fifth Airbus plane and has in view a fleet of 18 planes in the next two years, evaluated at over 1 billion dollars. As of this fall, the company will have 12 new routes which consolidate domestic flight networks and connect the main airports in Romania (Otopeni, Cluj, Iasi, Craiova, Timisoara and Suceava) with the main, major airports in Europe and the world, such as Istanbul, Paris, Munich, Prague, Sofia, Stockholm, Tel Aviv and Dubai. A of March 2026, AnimaWings will continue its expansion, the first new destinations being London Gatwich and Geneva.
