Infrastructure: FLYONE’s First Commercial Flight from Otopeni Airport Takes Off to Tel Aviv

June 19, 2025

* The route operates twice a week starting in June, with fares from just €65 per segment.   FLYONE, the fast-growing airline in Central and Eastern Europe, marked a major milestone today in the development of its operations in Romania: the inaugural commercial flight from Henri Coanda International Airport (Otopeni). The flight to Tel Aviv took off on Thursday, June 5, opening a new air connection between Bucharest and one of the region’s most dynamic cities.   The Tel Aviv route is operated twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday, with departures from Bucharest at 7:30 PM and arrivals in Tel Aviv at 10:30 PM (local time), onboard modern Airbus A320 aircraft, configured with 180 seats. The return flights depart Tel Aviv at 11:30 PM (local time), arriving in Bucharest around 2:10 AM.   Fares start from just €65 per segment, making this one of the most accessible and attractive travel options between Romania and Israel. Tickets can be booked at www.flyone.eu or via the FLYONE mobile app.   The launch flights on the Bucharest – Tel Aviv route recorded high occupancy rates, close to full capacity, confirming both the demand for this destination and the relevance of the company’s offer.   “Nothing brings us more joy than seeing such a strong response from passengers right from the first flight. It validates our direction and encourages us to continue expanding with new destinations and frequencies. FLYONE remains committed to offering fast, comfortable, and affordable connections to key destinations across Europe and beyond,” said Vladimir Cebotari, General Director of FLYONE Airlines. Tel Aviv – Closer Than Ever   Tel Aviv is known as one of the most dynamic cities in the region, offering a unique blend of sun-drenched beaches, cosmopolitan cuisine, vibrant art, and technological innovation. For Romanian travelers, the city is increasingly attractive for both short getaways and business trips, while the new route also strengthens ties with the active Romanian community in Israel, bringing loved ones closer together.   About FLYONE     Founded in 2016, FLYONE is the market leader in civil aviation in the Republic of Moldova. Since 2022, the airline has been a member of IATA and holds an air operator certificate issued by the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority, as well as an operating license from the Ministry of Transport.   In 2024, FLYONE carried over 2.4 million passengers, launched 14 new routes, and expanded its fleet with three additional aircraft. The company plans to launch even more destinations in 2025, in line with its strong growth strategy.   Currently, the airline operates over 75 scheduled and charter routes, connecting Bucharest, Chisinau, Yerevan, Tashkent, and other major cities to top destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa.
