ING Bank Romania, net profit of 347 mln RON in Q1 2024

ING Bank Romania achieved a net profit of 347 million RON in the first quarter of 2024, up 1% compared to the same period of last year, the bank informed in a release on Monday.In the first three months, the bank reported revenues of 877 million RON and total assets of 71.4 billion RON, an increase of 11.3% and 14.1%, respectively, compared to the same period in 2023.The costs of risk provisions remained at a low level, of approximately 58 million RON, but higher than in Q1 2023.At the same time, ING Bank Romania offered new loans to support the transition towards a more sustainable environment, offering loans with eco discounts for individuals worth 32 million euros, representing approximately 50% of the total amount granted in 2023 (67 million euros).Loans with sustainability components granted to companies reached 4.5 million euros for small companies, respectively 670 million euros in syndicated and bilateral loans for large companies.Regarding mutual funds with a sustainable component (art. 9 according to the SFDR), 29 million euros were invested by individual clients in the first quarter.ING Bank Romania is part of the ING Group, a global international financial institution, which offers banking services to over 38 million individual clients, companies or institutions from over 40 countries.
