INSCOP Survey: 60% of Romanians believe that the country is going in the wrong direction

More than 60% of Romanians believe that things are going in the wrong direction in Romania, and almost 70% expect prices to rise in the next 3 months, according to the data of a survey carried out by INSCOP on behalf of News.ro. 42.2% of those surveyed believe that investments in the economy will increase, while almost a quarter believe that they will decrease.   32.5% of Romanians believe that Romania is heading in a good direction, while 60.3% are pessimistic about the country’s future. 7.2% represents the share of non-responses. Who think in higher proportions than the average that the country is going in a good direction: young people under 30, people with higher education, those with high incomes and the residents of Bucharest. Those who are especially pessimistic about the future of the country are: people with primary education, those aged between 45 and 59 and those with a low income.   67.9% of Romanians expect that, in the next 3 months, prices will increase, 13.4% will remain the same, and 16.9% will decrease. 1.8% do not know or do not answer. Who think prices are expected to increase especially: AUR voters, people with primary education, aged between 45 and 59, those with a low income.   Regarding the number of jobs, 44.3% of the respondents expect that in the next 3 months it will increase, 24.3% will remain the same, and 28.1% will decrease. 3.2% represents the share of non-responses. It is expected that the number of jobs will increase especially by the voters of the PSD-PNL Alliance, people with primary education, rural or small urban residents, those who do not have an account on social networks.   ADU (United Right Alliance) and AUR voters, people with higher education, white-collar workers, residents of Bucharest or large urban areas, those with a higher income expect the number of jobs to remain the same in a larger proportion than the average. The number of jobs was expected to decrease, especially for people with a very low income.   42.2% of Romanians expect investments in the Romanian economy to increase in the next 3 months, 27.2% to remain the same, and 24.3% to decrease. 6.2% do not know or do not answer. PSD-PNL Alliance voters, people over 60, those with a higher income are the most optimistic about the evolution of investments in the Romanian economy.   Young people under 30, people with higher education, gray or white collar workers, residents of Bucharest or the big city expect the number of jobs to remain the same in a higher proportion than the average. Investments in the Romanian economy are expected to decrease, especially among young people under 30, blue-collar workers, and those with a lower income.   The opinion poll was carried out by INSCOP Research at the behest of News.ro Press Agency. The data were collected between 20 and 25 May 202.
