Since 2014, Irina has been working with the designer Shingo Sato in the field of design transformation and reconstruction, conducting model transformation and reconstruction at a highly advanced level. Irina Akkaya is currently teaching techniques of design transformation and reconstruction at the TR Cutting School Romania using the techniques she learned from the designer and teacher Shingo Sato, as well as Prof. Tomoko Nakamichi’s techniques. She managed to develop a 3D design that suits women’s body and their personality, creating originality for everyone who wears her brand. In December 2017, Irina has participated in Bucharest Fashion Week with a 20-clothing collection. The young designer amazed by using in fashion the same origami technique as the one used to shape paper. This year, between November 2 and 4, Irina Akkaya has participated in a fashion show in Switzerland, Lausanne at Fashion-Fair Lausanne, were she won the first place, more specifically an editorial for the New Sight Magazine, under the coordination of the Editor-in-Chief Laurence Sallaz, the prize amounting CHF 7500. 2019 announces to be a promising year for the designer, with national and international fashion creation projects, in Turkey and Switzerland.
