June 25, 2025

King Charles III expressed his belief that the relationship between the UK and Romania will flourish during President Nicusor Dan's term in office. The British King sent a message to Nicusor Dan on the occasion of the start of his mandate as President of Romania. The message was handed to the Head of State on Monday by the UK Ambassador to Bucharest, Giles Portman.Congratulating him and Queen Camilla on his election as President of Romania, Charles emphasises that Dan's tenure starts during a period of great uncertainty in Europe and in the world, with many challenges, from countering climate change and protecting Nature, to ending the terrible conflict in Ukraine."I recall very well my visit in 2022 to the Romexpo Centre in Bucharest, where we met when you were Mayor.
