The program of the event, organized by the National museum of romanian literature ( MNLR), with the support of the Embassy of Argentina, the Embassy of Chile, the Embassy of Cuba, the Embassy of Mexico and the Embassy of Peru in Romania, includes over 15 events, from film screenings to exhibitions of photography, illustration or reproductions of engravings, to concerts and public readings, to which the public has free access, according to a press release from Headsome Communication, sent on Thursday.The official opening will take place on Wednesday, October 2, in the presence of ambassadors Deborah Leticia Ojeda Valedoln - Cuba, Carlos Alejandro Poffo - Argentina, Felix Denegri Boza - Peru, Alejandro Omar Vazquez Martinez - second secretary at the Embassy of Mexico, of the director of the Cervantes Institute in Bucharest, Abel Murcia Soriano. The host of the evening will be the director general of MNLR, Ioan Cristescu.Starting from October 3, more than ten film screenings will be held, from documentaries to art films dedicated to personalities of Latin American cultural life, such as the one dedicated to the memory of the Chilean writer Gabriela Mistral, or to films signed by famous directors such as Guillermo del Toro and up to films awarded with important prizes, reviewed with praise all over the world and present at the most important festivals.On the occasion of the celebration of 100 years since the publication of the book "Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Desperation", signed by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, laureate of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1971, the Romanian edition will be launched during the festival, in the translation by Dan Munteanu Colan, published by the Vellant Publishing House.The official program of this year's edition of the Latin American Cultural Festival can be consulted on the MNLR website, as well as on the institution's social media pages.
