Leu appreciated against the euro but fell against the dollar

The national currency appreciated on Monday against the euro, which was calculated by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) at 4.9758 lei dropping by 0.07 bani (-0,01%) against the previous quotation, of 4,9764 lei.   On the other hand, compared to the dollar, the value of the leu fell, with the American currency being quoted at 4.6438 lei, up by 0.65 bani (+0.14%) compared to the previous session, when it stood at 4.6373 lei.   The national currency depreciated against the Swiss franc, which was quoted by the BNR at 5.0948 lei, up 1.16 bani (+0.23%) from 5.0832 lei.   The gram of gold fell on Monday by 0.45 bani (-0.13%) to 349.8708 lei, from 350.3208 lei, as announced on Friday by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
