MAE advises against all travel to Lebanon in the current security context

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) recommends the Romanian citizens to avoid travel in Lebanon, and to those who are already there, especially in the southern part, to leave the region immediately.In a press release sent on Monday, MAE reminds the fact that there is a travel warning for Lebanon, level 8/9 – ”Avoid any travel” – due to the recent evolutions of security and high risk of escalation.The Romanian citizens who are already there are advised to evaluate responsibility the necessity of staying in Lebanon, and those who are in the southern part of the Litani river, MAE sends the firm recommendation to leave immediately the region, taking into consideration the recent confrontations of the army at the Lebanon-Israeli border.At the same time, MAE firmly recommends to the Romanian citizens who are in Lebanon to record their presence with the Romanian Embassy in Beirut.
