Minister Dan Vilceanu: 90,000 refugees have entered Romania so far and we cannot estimate what will follow

Dan Vilceanu, the minister of investments and European Projects, expressed his solidarity with Ukraine, at the informal meeting of ministers in charge with the cohesion policy, held in Rouen. The official said that until now, over 90,000 refugees have entered Romania and no estimates can be made about what will follow.   Minister in charge with the Cohesion Policy appreciated , at the informal meeting organized in Rouen by the French Presidency of the EU Council, that the quick approval of partnership accords and operational programs must take place to cope with all challenges facing EU, to which the humanitarian crisis provoked by the armed conflict initiated by Russia in Ukraine, at the EU border is added.   EC officials announced in premier that there is an initiative and opening coming from Brussels to support the situation in member states that receive refugees by means of the REACY-EU instrument which should rapidly carry out legal approval procedures in order to supplement funds.   Dan Vilceanu, the minister of European investments and projects expressed his solidarity towards the situation in Ukraine, Romania being a border country, which is already receiving many refugees every day.
