Ministry of Finance planned to borrow almost seven billion lei from banks in June 2024

The ministry of finances (MF) has planned, in June 2024 loans from banks worth 6.2 billion lei, plus the sum of 750 million lei through supplementary sessions of non-competitive offers, related to bond actions.The total sum of 6.95 billion lei is 1.06 billion lei higher than the one programmed in May 2024, of 5.89 billion lei and it will be destined to the refinancing of the public debt and financing of the state budget deficit.According to the prospectus published in the Official Gazette, an auction will be held on 6 June for an issue of discounted treasury certificates in the amount of 600 million lei, maturing on 31 March 2025, and on 13 June an auction will be held for a similar issue of 600 million lei, maturing on 28 May 2025.According to the prospectus published by the Official Gazette, on 6th June is organized an auction will be held on 6 June for an issue of discounted treasury certificates in the amount of 600 million lei, maturing on 31 March 2025, and on 13 June an auction will be held for a similar issue of 600 million lei, maturing on 28 May 2025.Similarly, during the month of June 2024, eleven issues of bonds benchmark type worth 5 billion lei, followed the next day by a supplementary session of non-competitive offers, worth 15% of the initial value of the bond issue (750 million lei as a total).Thus, auctions were programmed for a bond issue of 200 million lei, on 10 June, a session of 300 million lei, on 17 June and nine sessions of 500 million lei on 3 June (two), 6 June, 10 June, 13 June, 17 June, 20 June and 27 June (two).
