Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Alexandru Munteanu met on Thursday with Romania's Ambassador in Chisinau Cristian-Leon Turcanu, an opportunity for the two high officials to emphasise the excellent bilateral relations and friendship between the Republic of Moldova and Romania, the Moldovan government announced in a press release.'Romania is a strategic partner and a steadfast supporter of our country on its European path. We will continue to maintain a special cooperation that brings benefits to the citizens of both states,' said Munteanu.The discussions focused on the main areas of cooperation between the two countries, economic and trade collaboration, energy, and joint infrastructure projects.Ambassador Cristian-Leon Turcanu congratulated Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu on taking office and reiterated Romania's commitment to continue providing full support to the Republic of Moldova in its development and European integration process.'I had the great pleasure of extending congratulations to Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu in Chisinau on taking office, as well as assuring him of Romania's continued support for the European future of the citizens on this side of the Prut,' the Romanian ambassador wrote on his Facebook page.
