MoneyGram expands its Romanian money transfer services with Arsis Trading SRL partnership

MoneyGram International, Inc., a global leader in the financial industry connecting communities worldwide, announces a new collaboration with Arsis Trading SRL, the largest independent telecommunications retailer in Romania, to extend access to both national and international money transfer options throughout the country.   Through this collaboration, anyone can send and receive money using MoneyGram services at Arsis locations in Romania. All those in need of speed and security in using money transfer services now have over 140 new physical options throughout the country. Both incoming and outgoing cash transfers are facilitated in the local currency.   “By collaborating with Romania’s largest independent telecommunications retailer, MoneyGram can expand its existing presence to offer customers in Romania more and more physical options to send and receive funds from loved ones anywhere in the world. As companies’ interest in using our global network is growing, we are excited about the interest and demand for our services and look forward to working with Arsis to expand and facilitate access to our fintech solutions throughout Romania,” said Marius Dobrescu, Head of Sales MoneyGram for Southern Europe.   In Romania, both incoming and outgoing money transfers have seen growth in recent years. According to the World Bank, in 2022, consumers abroad sent over $11 billion to the country as personal remittances. In 2021, customers in Romania sent over $642 million to friends and family worldwide.   As one of the leaders in money transfer in Romania, MoneyGram continues to expand its physical presence in the region to better meet its customers’ needs and provide the most convenient and straightforward experience for cash money transfers.   “We are confident that this collaboration will bring significant benefits to both our customers who walk through our doors every day and those who wish to send or receive money globally.
