Moscow declares two Romanian military diplomats personae non gratae

 The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned on Wednesday Romania's chargé d'affaires in Moscow Liliana Burda to hand her a note informing her that Russia is declaring the Romanian military attaché at the Romanian Embassy in Moscow and his deputy personae non gratae, shows a brief statement posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry's official website, mid.ru."Romania's chargé d'affaires to the Russian Federation, Liliana Burda, has been summoned to the State Protocol Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry," the official TASS news agency had previously announced, without mentioning the reason for the summons.According to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, this is a mirror response to an "unmotivated" decision by the Romanian side to declare the military attaché of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest and his deputy personae non gratae.The Romanian Foreign Ministry announced on March 5 that it was declaring the military attaché of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest Victor Makovsk and his deputy Evgheni Ignatiev personae non gratae in Romania, with the two summoned to leave the country immediately.
