Munich Security Conference/ Head of Romanian diplomacy - meetings with Dutch and Ukrainian counterparts

The minister of foreign affairs, Emil Hurezeanu had on Saturday in Munich, on the margin of the Security Conference, meetings with his Dutch and Ukrainian counterparts.According to a MFA press release, during the meeting with the minister of foreign affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Caspar Veldkamp, the two officials tackled aspects of bilateral agenda, as this year Romania and the Netherlands celebrate 145 years of diplomatic relations.'A priority of the discussion was the investigation into the theft of Dacian artefacts from the Drents Museum in Assen last month. The Dutch side reassured that all efforts are being made to recover the artefacts, in close cooperation with the Romanian side,' the press release said. Similarly, Emil Hurezeanu had a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha. The two had a wide-ranging review of the main topics of the Romanian-Ukrainian political-diplomatic dialogue, including the rights of persons belonging to national minorities, as well as the level of contacts envisaged for 2025.The Romanian minister reaffirmed Romania’s support for independence, territorial integrity and Ukrainian sovereignty insisting on the legitimate right of the Ukrainian people to get a just and sustainable peace with Ukrainian’s direct involvement as well that of the neighboring countries with whom they share the same vision and the minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine presented the objectives of the authorities in Kiev in this sense, informs MFA.Also on the margins of the Munich Security Conference, the Romanian Foreign Minister had meetings with his Azeri counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov, with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, with whom he discussed the security context in the Middle East, with a focus on the situation in the Gaza Strip and developments in Syria, with the Indian Foreign Minister, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, with his Philippine counterpart Mr Enrique Manalo and with his Serbian counterpart Mr Marko Djuric.  (Photo:https://www.mae.ro/)
