Romania's commitment to security and democracy in Europe represents a model for all nations to follow, said US secretary of state Antony Blinken on Sunday, in a message sent on the National Day of Romania celebrated on December 1 and published on the website of the US diplomatic mission in Bucharest."On behalf of the United States of America, I wish all Romanians to joyfully celebrate the anniversary of your great union, a historic moment from more than 100 years ago," said the high official. He conveyed that the United States is proud to collaborate with Romania in the process of modernising the army and in strengthening NATO's eastern flank.''Romania's support for Ukraine, by welcoming refugees and providing security assistance, has been essential in defending freedom against Russian aggression.
