NATO Secretary General meets the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania

O n Tuesday, 28 January 2025, the NATO Secretary General, Mr Mark Rutte, will meet the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Romania, Mr Emil Hora?iu Hurezeanu, at NATO Headquarters, in Brussels, NATO Press Office informs.   On 14th January, Minister Emil Hurezeanu received James O’Brien, Assistant to the US Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, on which occasion he appreciated the US contribution to the security and defence of NATO’s Eastern Flank and the development of the strategic approach to the Black Sea region.   According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two officials praised the substance and dynamics of the bilateral dialogue, noting that ‘significant’ successes have been achieved, such as Romania’s inclusion in the Visa Waiver Programme, the development of the economic and energy cooperation, the coordinated action Romania- USA- EU, together with the states of the Black Sea region, to improve connectivity at regional level, with the potential to create new economic opportunities for our country.
