The trains will run on 10 public service routes in Romania," stated Roseanu. The delivery term of the first train is 24 months from the signing of the contract, and the delivery of the entire batch of 62 trains will be carried out within 36 months, to which is added the maintenance period of 15 years. The president of PESA, Krzysztof Zdziarski, pointed out that the train model contracted by Romania is already running in the Czech Republic and added that PESA vehicles will support the development of Romanian railway transport, in a context in which it is desired to increase the presence of the Polish maker in Romania, through cooperation with local partners and the establishment of service and maintenance centers in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Iasi. The units are provided with ETCS level 2 signaling and safety system, as well as with the national PZB 90 system. The total value of the project is 3.038 billion RON, without VAT, and the financing is provided by the Transport Program (PT) 2021 - 2027, with co-financing from the state budget.
