President Maia Sandu invited Romania's president Nicusor Dan and Ukraine's president Volodimir Zelenski to participate on August 27 in the events devoted to the celebration of 35 years of Moldova's independence, Radio Chisinau and Deschide.md informed. On Thursday, Moldova will mark 35 years since the proclamation of independence. On that occasion, several events devoted to the Independence Day will be organized in the Great National Assembly Square and in other places in Chisinau. The program will start at 8.30 a.m with the laying wraths at the Grieving Madonna Monument from the Memorial Complex Eternitate. At 9.30 the officials will lay wraths at the monument of Stefan the Great and Sacred. Events will continue in the Great National Assembly Square. At 4.30 p.m a military parade will be attended by 2,000 militaries and representatives of participating structures. The parade will present over 100 units of military and special technology belonging to the National Army and the Interior Ministry. A concert devoted to the Independence Day will follow. Moldova proclaimed its independence on August 27, 1991, when the Parliament adopted the Declaration of Independence.
