Israeli renewables developer Nofar Energy Ltd (TLV:NOFR) has inked a EUR-76.6-million (USD 84.4m) agreement to buy solar panels from China’s LONGi Solar for projects in Romania, https://renewablesnow.com/ reads.   The contract is for a power generating capacity of 576 MW. Longi will be responsible for the entire delivery process from the manufacturing to the arrival of the panels on-site, the Israeli firm said in a LinkedIn post.   The deal includes taxes, import and export costs, insurance, international shipping, and the delivery of panels to the sites. Further details about the projects were not provided.   In Romania, Nofar's portfolio includes a total of about 800 MW of renewable power assets, both already connected to the grid and under construction.   At the beginning of 2023, Nofar unveiled a plan to build a portfolio of 1.5 GW of wind and solar schemes in Romania through 2023. Last month, the company, together with its partner Econergy Renewable Energy, inaugurated the 154-MW Ratesti solar park in Arges county, which was described as the largest photovoltaic (PV) complex in southeastern Europe.
