ONRC: 37,686 natural and juridical persons registered in quarter 1, 2024

The number of natural and juridical person registrations dropped in the first three months of 2024 wth 6.78%, compared to the same period of 2023, totalling 37,686 units, 73.48% of which , that is 27,695, are companies with limited responsibility (SRL), according to data centralized by the National Trade Registrar (ONRC).   Most registrations were recorded in Bucharest,- 8.702 (plus 5.89%, compared to January-March 2023) and in the counties of Ilfov – 2,115 (minus 1.08%), Cluj – 1,947 (minus 7.81%), Timis – 1,630 (minus 10.08%), Iasi – 1,554 (minus 5.59%) and Brasov – 1,360 (minus12.99%).   At the opposite pole, the low number of registrations was recorded in quarter 1, 2024 in the counties of Covasna -179 (on the drop by 32.96% compared to the same period of 2023), Tulcea – 237 (minus 13.5%), Ialomita – 258 (minus 1.53%) and Caras Severin – 268 (minus 12.99%).   According to ONRC, the fields in which most registrations were made are: wholesale and retail trade , motor vehicle and motrocycle repairs (7,273; minus 7.24%, compared to first three months of 2023), transport and storage (4,674; plus 4.21%) and constructions (3,715; minus 11.97%).   12,577 natural and juridical persons were registered in March 2024, most of them in Bucharest (2,968) and in Ilfov (721), Cluj (606), Timis (584) and Iasi (538) counties.
