Opinion Poll:Public confidence growing in PNL's Bolojan, AUR's Simion 

A third (33.2%) of Romanians want early elections as the best solution to the political crisis of the last two months, with the interest in voting being on the rise, at 54.9% in July from 48% in April, reveals the Poll/Int opinion barometer, conducted by the Political Rating Agency and released on Wednesday.Other options agreed by the interviewees are restoring the Social Democratic Party (PSD) - National Liberal Party (PNL) - Save Romania Union (USR) - Hungarian Democratic Unioin of Romania (UDMR) coalition (11.4%); a technocratic government (11.3%); a PSD- alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) government (6.8%); an alternation of PSD/PNL-USR-UDMR government (5.7%); a PNL-USR minority government, voted by AUR (4%); a PSD minority government voted by AUR (3.7%). Almost a quarter (23.8%) answered "I don't know".More than half (56.1%) of the respondents do not agree with any of the proposals circulated for the position of new prime minister, 11.6% would like Sorin Grindeanu, 8.7% Siegfried Muresan, 2.6% Adrian Vestea, 1.6% Eugen Tomac, and 19.7% do not know.According to the barometer "After two months of political crisis", if parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, the voter turnout rate, on a scale of 1 ("not at all likely") - 10 ("very likely"), would be between 13% ("not at all likely") and 54.9% ("very likely").Without taking into account the indecisiveness, those who would not vote or those who did not answer, in any parliamentary elections AUR would be voted by 36.4% of voters, PNL - 22.4%, PSD - 17.9%, USR - 10.5%, UDMR - 4.9%, S.O.S. Romania - 2.9%, SENS - 1.9%, CAN and PMP 1.3%, REPER - 0.6%.According to the poll, after two months of political crisis, public trust in Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, AUR and USR national leaders George Simion and Dominic Fritz, respectively, increased, while trust in the head of state, Nicusor Dan, and PSD national leader Sorin Grindeanu remain almost constant.Trust in Ilie Bolojan increased from 21.8% to 29.5%, in Dominic Fritz from 13.4% to 20.1% and in George Simion from 31.3% to 35%, while trust in President Nicusor Dan, stagnated at 24.2% and in Sorin Grindeanu increased by 0.2% (from 13.9% to 14.1%). George Simion is the political leader enjoying the highest public confidence - 35%, followed by Ilie Bolojan (29.5%), Nicusor Dan (24.2%), Dominic Fritz (20.1%) and Oana Gheorghiu (17.7%).The interviewees consider that the main responsible for the prolonged political crisis of the last months in Romania is PSD (21.7%), "all equally" (21.4%), Prime Minister Bolojan (15.7%), President Nicusor Dan (14.8%), AUR (4.4%), PNL (2.7%), USR (1.5%), UDMR (0.6%), while 7.4% of respondents say they did not follow the news and 9.7% said they did not know.Regarding Nicusor Dan, 33.7% say that he did not have a plan and "only reacted to events", 19% see him as "rather neutral" and claim that he mediated between parties, 14.3% are of the opinion that the head of state was "partisan and "favoured PSD", 14.2% that he would have "favoured" PNL and Ilie Bolojan, and 18.7% answered that they do not know.The survey was conducted by the Political Rating Agency (ARP), between June 30 and July 3, by phone and online, on a sample of 1,774 people over 18 years old, with a statistical error nationwide of 2.8%.
